I addition to being a student,I am also involved in research in Dynamical Neuroscience in Professor Gennady Cymbayuk's Lab. The physics of how neurons work is a fascinating interdisciplinary subject that not only has the potential for improve the quality of our lives--such as improving our understanding of epilepsy--but might help to shed light on some of humanity's most ancient questions. Ever since Plato split mankind into mind and body nobody has managed to put them back together, perhaps science in the 21st century might at least get us closer. This is a project I want to be a part of.

Speaking of philosophy, I am also a member of the Fellowship of Reason, a phiolosophy club where not only do we study the subject, we try to live it as well. This does not mean we sit in circles and go into trances in search of some mystical "enlightenment"; it means we regard philosophy as something worthwhile, and indeed necessary, for having an abundant life of meaning and purpose here on earth. If that sounds like it could interest you, please click the link.

In addition, I do not mean to boast (No, not to boast, only to encourage you to hire me as your tutor!) but I am a member of Sigma Pi Sigma, the Physics Honor Society, which is a branch of the Society of Physics Students at Georgia State.
